Renewal Assistance
Below are things to consider when renewing each of your insurance policies.
Auto
• Review your annual mileage estimate, it is a rating factor. Are you driving more or less? Has your commute changed?
• Review the list of drivers and ensure that their information is up to date. Did anyone move out of the household? Did a household member retire or graduate?
• Check on Discounts. Companies frequently change the discounts being offered but many offer discounts for certain professions (Engineers, CPA, teachers, etc.) or group memberships (Costco, AAA, Fraternities or Sororities, etc.).
• Review your coverages. If your assets have grown, you may want to consider higher limits.
Tips: Always go to traffic school if possible. You cannot erase an accident but you can erase a ticket.
Home
• Review the reconstruction cost estimate that was sent with your renewal documents. Have you updated, remodeled, or changed any part of your home?
• Have there been any changes in your household such as a new person or a new dog?
• Are you renting out part of your home?
• Check on Discounts. Have you added a new security system or water shutoff system?
Umbrella
• Ensure the total number of cars, drivers, recreational vehicles, and property owned are still accurate.
• Please be sure inform us if you have purchased any property including shared property or out of state property because these can be covered on your umbrella even if we don’t write the underlying policy.
• Do you have the proper amount of coverage? We recommend that you have enough liability coverage to protect all of your assets so be sure to update us if you believe you need more coverage to be fully protected.
